Long ago, the world was nearly destroyed by the Darkness. Then, it all stopped. No one knows what happened to the Darkness or if it will happen again. However, another calamity will soon appear, and this time, the world will know it's hero.

So... the first thing I notice is it's abundantly unclear to me that the guards are my enemies until they start attacking me, so... maybe include some indication of that in the prologue? Or maybe just change "they" to "the guards" in the first line after the prologue ends.
